PIXIE COTTAGE CHALLENGE #37/AUTISM FUNDRAISER

PIXIE COTTAGE is looking for orange today and we also have a great sketch to use Pumpkins always remind me of fall and harvest time. I chose to use one of our cute new digi images call Three Fall Mice by Artish. This image really spoke to me. It made me think about who we are spending time with is far more important than what we are doing. When we are with friends or family even if its playing with pumpkins it a time to cherish. Sometimes we miss the sweetest moments in life by not appreciating the most simple of things. That is the reason I chose this sentiment on the tag. I stamped the pumpkin border on the punched strip added the ribbons and dotted with some orange stickles, made a simple flower with a jewel center and added the image with foam dots. At the Pixie Cottage we have a very sweet young artist who wants to help with Autism Research. Michelle, owner of Michelle's Scrapbooking & More has made two of her drawings into digis or stamps for a $3.00 donation you can receive them and all the proceeds will be donated to research. Please take the time to stop by, read her story and make the purchase for this very important research.

Punches can be used is SO many ways and thats our challenge this week.We want to see your creations at TUESDAY THROWDOWN. Our team has some very fun cards so be sure to stop by and visit their blogs.

As you can see I used a variety of MS punches. Just couldn't get a good close pic but the green and blue are steps. The white background was run thru the dotted swiss embossing folder. My image was water colored and some crystal effects added to the water spots, mounted and foam dotted on. All the buttons were tied with ribbon instead of thread and I used some dimensional paint for the dots across the blue paper as well as on the butterflies. My sentiment doesn't show up very well but it says have a Peaceful day! There is something about flowers that are always peaceful to me. They are such lovely creations with amazing colors and fragrances. They are themselves there for you to enjoy. Wow~~A broken computer delayed being able to post till today. My daughter had a emergency appendectomy Friday which was terrible timing since they have to be out of their house next Mon. I made this little set to send her, hopefully it will cheer her a bit. I used the Waltzingmouse Sketch for my card. The image is Apple Hannah, a Pixie Cottage stamp from Michelle's Scrapbooking & more. She was watercolored, faux stitched and mounted on the black. The green was embossed and then faux stitched around. I used the spellbinders reverse circle nestie for the sentiment, added stickle dots and a cut out apple. The watercolored apple border has no name on it. Added the bows and tied together with a red button. The goodie bag is a teabag template from Waltzingmouse. Actually Mona used it a couple days ago and it was so fun looking I wanted to try it. Cut it out of the gingham and used the nestie again for the label which I stamped with one of the Waltzingmouse circle sets and used a part of the sentiment off the Waltzingmouse Remedies set.
