TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV#56

Are you all   looking forward to the weekend. It is my turn to do the tutorial

l and I did a Peek A Boo card. You can find the Tutorial and Challenge

 here. I love the palm trees in the I Need A Vacation Set. After stamping them and

coloring them I cut them out to make a beachy scene for the front.Some
little mounds of grass and a couple punches to make the sun for the scene.

This is another first for me and did take some time but was fun.

We all did a fun variety of versions so stop by and

On the inside I used the flamingo from the I Need A Vacation Set
and the tree is from the Tree Greetings Set. I stamped the flamingo
on pink paper and cut out. The tree was stamped, colored and then
added some mounds of grass to put the flamingo in.

 Card front then opens to reveal the little peek a boo message that slides
 into the inside window

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV #79

Have you heard about the brutal heat wave we are having here in the Southwest,
Has been in the 120s for 4 days, 124 yesterday and supposed to hang around 118 for
 the next week. When its that hot the nights only cool to the high 90s
and all the plants are burnt so Im having to water day and night.
I say we should all average our temps and we would all have great weather!

Our new FOSTV challenge  is a 4th of July creation. 

I have used one of the new June releases Be Proud

After coloring the Eagle it was cut out with a Scalloped Spellbinder

The center was embossed and all stitched together. 

The two strips of stars are cut  from PTI die.

Excessive heat sparks wildfires and in Arizona, 19 Elite firefighters lost their lives yesterday  while fighting the fires. Please remember their families in prayer.

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV #55

Not so sure Im wanting to see Friday this week. Temps are predicted to be 121today and 123 Sat.. Summer is sweeping in with a big Heat wave!! Stay cool where ever you are. Our TTSTV Challenge is to make Faux Tiles. Now making the tiles were easy but coloring between them not so easy! I used a little check to make a frame for my poppies cut out with a Spellbinder Romantic Rectangles. A little punched oval sentiment to make a pretty cas card. Are you all ready for another FOSTV Challenge.

 This week is and easy peasy one, Sparkle.

Using the pansy image from the Sending Happy Thoughts Set 

for this one.After coloring it I used black stickles for the 

black center. Its layered onto the yellow. The little jewels

 and the jewel butterfly also add to my sparkle. The dp 

used for the border also has sparkle on the stripes. A little 

embossing , layers and stitching to show off the image.

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV # 54

Our TTSTV  Challenge this week is brought to us by  Lagene and it is call Spirelli. 

 Another first for me. This was a fun one so hop over and give it a try. I cut out 

a Spellbinder Scalloped Oval so my string would have some teeth to grab onto. 

As you can see I started around a second time and decided to stop so one end is

 doubled. I used some Pink Lemonade dp for the background and then cut out 

a white frame with a Spellbinders Scalloped Square. The sentiment is from the

Island Life Set and cut our with a Spellbinders 

Floral Oval and foam dotted on. A little flower for some

 added embellishment and it is done.

Our new challenge today here at FOSTV is to make a Birthday card.

 Who isnt always in need of one of these! Using some
 My Minds Eye papers, a little trim, buttons 
and bow for a quick card.

The bottom was

 embossed with a SU folder and stitched on. The hibiscus image is from

 the new I Need A Vacation Set, colored and cut out with a Spellbinder Floral Oval.

 The trim was added with the buttons and viola!

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV # 53

Happy Happy Friday to you all!!

 The challenge  TTSTV this week is making a puzzle 

background. It is brought to us by Pat. I didnt want

to make mine different colors so just used

one piece of kraft and used the diamond plate embossing

 folder first then cut it up into pieces. Using some ink I darkened all 

the edges so they would be more noticiable
then adhered them all the my card base.The images

cover up several of the pieces, it did look more

 puzzle like before I added the. I love these old vintage images, 

arent they great!  This is one of the new June Releases Classic Dad you can now

 find at the Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. Store. Colored cut out

 and added to the mats. Pretty quick and easy Fathers Day card

 for my dad!.Come join the fun

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV #76

Seems like the weeks are rushing by doesn't it. I'm hoping they

continue to rush right thru summer!! It has been crazy hot here, like 120 degrees!!

The plants, animals and myself all have our tongues hanging out.

This weeks  FOSTV challenge is a Get Well card.

A sweet blog buddy Lisa from A Mermaids Crafts sent me this wonderful 

My Minds Eye paper pad so thats what I have used this week. I like the

 retro feel of the papers, fun dont you think... After some stitching and a little 

inking on the edges I stamped and cut out the apple image.

It is from the Lesson Learned Set. The sentiment is 

from the  Birds and Trees Set. A little decorative corner and buttons 

finish it off. Life is extremely complicated with too much

 stuff right now so Im into fast and simple cards!

  Seems life as been way to complicated lately which would mean a quiet

 get away would certainly be my choice, so I have used one of the
 scenes from Island Life. A pretty cas card this week.
