Techniques today

For our MFP Challenge II this week there is a tutorial on the technique, acrylic block printing.
It makes nice backgrounds for your cards.NOW before you say you dont have
acrylic blocks let me tell you neither did I. So dont let that stop you. I used a little
plastic lid off one of my little mini stamp pads and it
worked just fine as you can see!

ground in 65 years!! However we have frost and  had several nights
last week. Here is a tree the sprinkler sprayed Thursday night.

So all this to say that the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week is
 WINTER WONDERLAND!
Our Sponsor is My Grafico and they have provided us with a darling assortment
of images. I have used one of the Frosty Friends Images.
The background was water colored and then some snowflakes stamped with a bit
of glitter added to them. The snow is torn layers with glitter added to the edges. A little tree
stamped and then the cute little snowgirl added. Stop over and check out
my talented teamies Great cards!

Good Morning Friends....

It's time for a new Speedy Fox and Friends and it is an easy one~ RED

a red Bazill paper. The fun polka dot frame and oval is from Hero Arts.
One of the  many treasures my sweet friend Martha sent me for my Birthday.
The Noel sentiment is from the  Poinsettia Blooms Set.
The tiny holly is from the Christmas Selection Set that has a myriad
of Christmas stamps. The base is from a Christmas Stack. I tried
to stitch it on but didnt do to well, afraid my machine is toast!!
The snowflake is a very pretty die but Im clueless whose it is,
it was gift from a blog buddy. A little red glitter
to shimmer it up a bit and cant have
Christmas without bells so one in the center.

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge

Good Morning Friends. Been a while  since Ive posted. Sorry havent been to visit you all much.
My family was here for my brother in law's service. Spending time together was the priority.
Life can change so quickly, my BIL was diagnosed with cancer a few short months ago
and already gone! Hug your loved ones and tell your friends how you much you care for them,
you might not get another opportunity.....
That is my heartfelt advise for the day SO now On with the Challenge..
.Today we are embossing flowers on Vellum. After stamping with Versamark you embossed you
image then add a little color on the backside of the image. Cut it out and add it to you card...
easy as can be!   I made up a little set of  three/

The first on using the Lily Image. Some sunny yellow, a little dp from Lawn Fawn and
a MS punched edge. A little string of jewels and butterfly for a bit of embellishment.
Simple and easy to send thru the mail; The dp was stitched along the edge.
I think my machine is just about toast, joining the growing group
of malfuntions at my house!! It will only sew backwards lol!!

The next one uses the Coneflower Image. The dp is one of those year stacks.
The little edge was cut with a Stampin Up border die as was the little white one.
The frame is a Scalloped Oval Spellbinder. The dp was stitched on
.This one will be easy to mail also.

The last one is the Rose Image. Got a little carried away on this one not so mailable!
The the striped dp is from Stampin Up and cut with a Spellbinder Decorative Square.
The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn and a handdyed bow. The little border behind
is also from the year stack and cut with my new punch
 from my sweet friend Martha!!.

All the images and sentiments plus a myriad of Stamping Goodies
are available at MFP Stamp Shop
Hope you all will stop my at try this technique!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge

Good Morning it is time for TT Team B Challenge. It is Thankful and our
sponsor is DeeDee's Digis. She has generously supplied us with our choice of images
. I am using one from the Autumn Blessings Set. After coloring I was adding a little shading
to the twigs with a copic and all of a sudden big drops of ink came out. I had to cut a piece
of to salvage the image to thats why it may seem a little off. A little checked dp and a
border cut with a PTI die. The sentiment is cut with a Spellbinder banner die.
This challenge cuts pretty close to the heart today.
My sister's husband passed away Thursday after a shocking diagnosis of cancer
in June She turns 60 tomorrow and They would have been married 43 years! She was
determined he was her soulmate and they were married on her 17th birthday.
I am thankful he was a part of our family for all these years. He was a tower
of strength and always willing to help whenever needed. He was much more than
just a BIL he was more like a brother.  Im also thankful that
he was a wonderful husband to my sis
and father to my nephews and niece.
His passing has left a huge hole in our family but we
have the blessed assurance that we will see him again one day!
