New Challenge

There is a new  MFP Challenge today...
This week it is Anything Goes today, so come join the fun..
We would be delighted to see your creations!

I needed a Valentine card so that is my theme for todays card.
.The dp is a scrap I had. I like the taupe and pink colors together.
I just needed to see some
stitching on my card so I ventured out using my crazy
machine that will only sew backwards!! This sewing machine is really
making me crazy,,obviously something has gone haywire in the electronics!
 It is a real challenge
to try to get a sort of straight line, but here it is
with the edges distressed. Two of the
hearts were cut with Spellbinders and the other one is the
center of a doily cut out and a little faux stitching and dotts added.
.The rose image is from
non other than the Rose Set. A little water
coloring and cut it out
for some dimension. The bow is from cheesecloth.
I added the butterfly for a symbol of continued renewing.
Both sentiments are from the  Love Love Love Set.
The little silver heart is very reflective adds
a shimmery touch.

I'm entering my card into the Challenge at:

MFP Challenge

Are you as happy to see the weekend as I am??? It has been a loooong week!
So the weekend brings a new  MFP Challenge. This weeks challenge is to make
blue the predominate color. You can see the rules Here. I used the Oopsy Daisy image
and colored it blue. You are supposed to only use a small amount of one other
color but I cheated and had to color the lady bug! A ribbon made from
some cheesecloth for a little embellie. The sentiment is from the
Chrysanthemum Set and cut with a Spellbinder.

Tuesday Throwdown....

Sorry late didnt know this didnt post this am

Our challenge for today is Under The Weather and
our sponsor is our own Crafty Lady!!
She gave us each a image of our choice to use. I chose the pansy image.
Don't you just love these pretty pansies.
It was fun to color and lends itself to my favorite color!
So a little embossing and striped dp for a background to my pretty image.
It was watercolored and cut with a Stampin Up die. A bit
of hand dyed ribbon and the sentiment finish up this one.
My teamies have all different creations to show you so stop
over at Tuesday Throwdown and join us.

MFP Challenge #3

Happy Saturday friends, hope all is well with you today.

Today Mark's Finest Papers has a new Challenge,
it is to make a Gate Card.  I received
a box full of dps and some stamps from me friend Martha's friend LeAnne Pugliese
from Wee Inklings.Stop over and check out her Beautiful creations.
There is a wonderful variety of dps so I used one from the
Basic Grey Lemonade Collection. Kinda of reminds me of
a Mary Ingelbreit print, you think?
The little scalloped edge was cut with a Stampin Up die. I used a
Spellbinder Scalloped Oval for the pink closure and the sentiment was
cut with a Hero Arts die. I'm kind of lost without my
sewing machine, seems so plain! The sentiment is from the
Great Flower Set. The little flower used is from the Small Flowers Set
All the Stamp Sets, paper and a variety of other
paper crafting items are available at the MFP Stamp Store.
. We would be delighted to have you share your
gate card with us, so stop on over!

Techniques today

For our MFP Challenge II this week there is a tutorial on the technique, acrylic block printing.
It makes nice backgrounds for your cards.NOW before you say you dont have
acrylic blocks let me tell you neither did I. So dont let that stop you. I used a little
plastic lid off one of my little mini stamp pads and it
worked just fine as you can see!

ground in 65 years!! However we have frost and  had several nights
last week. Here is a tree the sprinkler sprayed Thursday night.
I took the pic just as the sun was coming up.

So all this to say that the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week is
 WINTER WONDERLAND!
Our Sponsor is My Grafico and they have provided us with a darling assortment
of images. I have used one of the Frosty Friends Images.
The background was water colored and then some snowflakes stamped with a bit
of glitter added to them. The snow is torn layers with glitter added to the edges. A little tree
stamped and then the cute little snowgirl added. Stop over and check out

GREEN GREEN lots of green...

That is todays Challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends today!
Green is one of my favorite colors but I couldnt seem to get the ole mojo
going! Not having my sewing machine is a real pain, the edges don't seem finished
without some stitiching on them! I have used several of the images from the
Snowflakes Set. I embossed them them cut them out to layer. The small one is
sandwiched between two Martha Stewart punched pieces. A bit of glitter and a
jewel to add a tad of sparkle. The sentiment is from the Create With Pine Boughs Set.
Hope you will join us for this weeks color challenge

Tuesday Throwdown Team B

Good Morning Friends, today is a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. It is Snowflakes!!

Our Sponsor is Sami Stamps Shop and I have used t he Bird On A Branch image
. I really like this image because its so versatile. I have colored it with a little pencil then
added some chalk to the background to look a bit stormy and some "snow".
A Spellbinder Scalloped Square was used to cut the mat. The background is a
from a Winter Stack. The Snowflakes were cut with Marvy and Martha Stewart
punches using a combo of vellum and cardstock.
Since my machine croaked no stitching on this one! A little glitter
added and voila . My teammates have made some beautiful cards, so stop by
 and check out their inspiration!
