This is for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. The scripture chosen should challenge each of us daily! We can always use prayer so I chose that as my sentiment. I used various stamps and overlapped them to create a collaged paper affect. I Watercolored them with soft colors. After I finished I tore it in a meandering shape down the left side. I used a scallop punch on the burgandy paper and attached in on the right side. I had the butterfly and just added some of the colors to make it blend. I painted the chipboard flourish with a cream paint, stamped a few times and added some pale color and antiqued with some brown. I antiqued the oval paper which was a recycle from a box I'd saved. Put the sentiment on that. I then used some sheer burgandy ribbon to make a bow and added a button that just matched perfectly. Finally added 4 jewels across the bottom to add a little sparkle.
The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls. Pablo Picasso

This is my card for the crazy 4 challenges. It is a rather springy card for this time of year however this was a unusual day. Today is my daughters 37th birthday.I can hardly believe I have a child that old, I should still be that age. :) Today was also the memorial service for my friends mom. Coming home feeling lots of emotions made me think about how precious life is and how quickly it passes. We should always take the time to spend with others as it could be the last. Sooo I decided upon the sweet birds and the sentiment reflects my thoughts. I stamped the green galore base with light grey dogwoods. I colored the birds with watercolors and cut them apart to make a tile effect. Framed them in purple. used a purple ribbon with a couple loops fastened down with a brad topped with a purple jewel.Girls need jewels!! Instead of framing the purple i made it the same size in width as the yellow to give the illusion that it was the ribbon continuing across the yellow . Take the time today to tell your loved ones how special they are to you!

This is my take on the color challenge. I only used the three colors. I used a scrap of DP that had the brown green and pink in it. That was what made me decide to just use the three colors. I used the fleur de lis punch added a strip of pink to may be simulate a ribbon. I made a bow with some ribbon from the treasure box that Barbara had sent me. The dots pick up the dots on the DP!

Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge if for a card with fall colors. This was a quick attemp on a fall colored card. I used a rusty base and choc brown for the circle. Then used a creme paper which I stamped and embossed the leaves with green, rust, yellow and brown powder. The cut out leaves scattered around the cicle I also embossed and added a little water color to make a little more colorful. Punched each end of the chocolate before adding the sentiment.

This card is for the crazy 4 challenges today. I'm still struggling with figuring out this camera. I'm not very techno savvy !! Although the pic is a little dark, hopefully you can see the card base is a celery green with a very nice dotted swiss texture. The yellow is actually light and matches the stripes. The cordinating stripe was run thru the cuttlebug, punched with martha stewart punch and then I matted it on a piece of SU bravo burgandy. The pocket full of posies stamp is from Uptown Rubber. I cut out the image after it was stamped and watercolored. I added a little pansy on the pocket then mounted on yellow and stitched to the dusty purple and then mounted on the bravo burgandy. The whole piece is mounted with foam dots to lift it up for some dimension. The sentiment was stamped on yellow and then mounted on the bravo burgandy. Added a couple rows of a dusty purple ribbon to mimic the vertical stripes and last but not least three green jewels. Always need a little glitz. :)

This is my card for the color challenge. I need to learn to work my camera better. The pic isnt really clear. The message says hope you are back in the swing of things soon. I cut out the hedgie and swing and fastened down the stick only and left the swing and hedgie free. It swings when you move the card. The circular print is from K&K company. I punched four layers for each flower and fastened them together, cut out a few leaves and a little bit of mulberry paper and tucked around them. I finished it off with the butterfly which had the had the same colors in it.

This card is for the StampinSisters in Christ challenge. I did a birthday card for my daughter. Her name is Kelci thus the initial K. I used SU creme, black and pink card stock. I tea stained the creme card stock. I used black lace for the ribbon. The flourishes are glitzed up with black glitter however they don't show up very well in the photo. In person its very sparkly which I love!! The circle was put thru the cuttlebug to emboss it and some glitter added. The flower jewels add more sparkle and I used the morroco punch. . How we all need to remind ourselves God's plans for us are always good!!

This card was made for the crazy 4 challenges today. This is my very first challenge and I was so excited when I saw the challenge this morning I could hardly wait to get started. Between the routine Sat morn cleaning and laundry I worked on it. This is just sooooo much fun !!! After going thru my zillion stamps wouldn't you know it, I could not find a turtle to go with the dp so had to make do with a ladybug. I used colorbok solid colors and although it doesnt show I ran the purple thru the cuttlebug with a circular design. I used 4 little green floral brads to attach it to the scalloped base. The ladybugs were watercolored. The fun turtle print was from KP Kids&Co. The colors are a little brighter in person.

Its hard to think fall when here in the Mohave Desert it is still 104 degrees, but I did my best. This is the second and third challenge I've entered and I'm hooked !! I used the close to cocoa as the main card and added the pumpkin and ruby on each side with a zig zag stitch. I ran them thru the cuttlebug. I chose the swirl design becaue it reminded me of leaves swirling around. I used a dp in fall colors to mount the image on. I cut the corners to insert the SU pumpkin wagon stamped image onto it. I used water colors to color the image. I stamped and cut out the leaves on the dp and added a little wire curly Q. Punched the pumkin and ruby to mount the message and mounted it on a foam dots with a little hemp bow.

I'm pretty new to blogging. My friend Martha helped me get started. I received a email that there was a new challenge called Crazy 4 Challenges. This is the first time I've ever entered a challenge. What fun.....And here is it:
This card was made from colorbok purple, lavender and pink textured paper. The print is a Penny Black floral. I used a zig zag stitch to attach the print to the pink layer then attatched to the lavender. I ran the purple circle thru the cuttlebug for texture and added some ribbon on the diagonal. The cute Tilda with her bicycle was watercolored . I cut out a flower to add some dimension. The message is raised also. The edge is made with a Martha Stewart punch. Finished off with a sheer purple ribbon.
