Tutorial Time With Speedy TV

Happy Good Friday and that means time for TTSTV Challenge!!
This week the tutorial is called Scrap Attack by Pat Garvin. I went a little
different direction and did an altered album. This was an adventure in itself to find paper
that went together. For the background on all the pages I have used only scrap paper, lots of
paint, doodling, stencils, modeling paste, ink, glimmer mist, beads, chipboard, netting,
left over punched flower and the Cracked Hello and Just a Note Stamps.
 Warning Lots of pics here!
For page one I tore strips of several different pastels and stitched onto a base. The pansy image
from the Sending Happy Thoughts set was stamped twice colored and one cut out and added
to make it more dimensional. The edges were punched to make the postal stamp border and
added to the mat. The friend is from the Ivy & Blossoms set and the Today, Tomorrow
and Forever is from that set.
Second page I used papers in the purple and lavender tones, cutting the three dps and the
embossed pieces into strips. This used the sentiment from the new Garden Bunny set, butterfly
from the new Spring Things set and Forever from the All Postal set.

Third Page I used papers in the pink and green tones, the Hibiscus is from the Hum Along
set, butterfly from the Cracked Hello set , postal mark from All Postal   set, Women are like.... from the Relax a Bit  set, and have confidence from Today Tomorrow and Forever set.

Fourth page used peach and green dp, The  Dogwood spray from the Dogwood Blossoms set,
Sentiemnt from the Ivy & Blossoms set, Sweet from the Tweet That set, butterfly and
caterpillar from the Spring Things set.

Fifth pages   used the sentiment from the Amaryllis Definition set, you've got style from that set and beautiful from the set, and the little flower from the Ivy &  Blossoms set.

Sixth page the page was made from just two pieces plus the little embossed piece.
Ran out of the piks and greens so used this adding a little pink and green to tie them
together. I used the Hummingbird from the Hum Along set, Trust from
the set, and  Be Free from the Be Wild & Free set

Seventh page This page was made using four pieces and if you look closely you can
see the print had some punched edges. I have used the sentiments  from
the Island Life set and the Live from the Be Wild & Free set and The Adventure was
made using only part of a sentiment from the
Be Wild & Free set.
Hope you enjoyed the trip through my little album!
Wishing you all a Wonderful Easter Weekend~~

My talented teammates have lots of GREAT inspiration for you.
If you have a Scrap Box this is the
perfect way to use some of them so come join in the fun!

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV # 65

Hope you all had a great weekend! For this weeks FOSTV Challenge
we want to see your Easter cards.
has a GREAT new collection of stamps for the March Release that you can find here..
This bunny and tulip images are from the Spring Things Set.

I am a little partial to rabbits, this is a pic of  two of ours, Mimsie with blue eyes
and Runtilina the dark one. Runtilina was tiny tiny, a fourth the size of
the others in the litter when born but what a scrapper she was.
Took a while but as you can see she has caught up now!

Anyways isn't this sweet little bunny image just too cute!
Instead of coloring the bunny I thought it would be fun to stamp
on the dp and cut out, very quick and easy!
After my tulips were colored I stitched them onto the black.
I made a big fishtail and tied a little lavender lace bow onto it
before mounting the tulip image.

The purple base was embossed with the SU honeycomb folder.
The sentiment is from the Spring Joy mini set.
A sprinkling of jewels finishing it off.

Join us in the week this challenge and you may be the winner of this
 lovely Island Living stamp set!

Tutorial Time With Speedy TV #

For this TTSTV Challenge Pat has a tutorial on making Patchwork Here.
Great way to use up scraps. I made a page with some of my scraps
in the pink and lavender tones. My plan was to make a pastel card
but the patchwork looked so washed out on any pale paper so I went with
a bright turquoise with a little pink in it, seemed to show up better on it.
Instead of an image I have used the sentiment
from the set. My patchwork was cut with a Spellbinder label    .
I cut my sentiment out with a Spellbinder Fancy Tag and added some dimensional
dots around it. I stitched on the dp and added
the pink strip down the center instead of using a ribbon.
The flower and florishes are made from MFT.
After you cut and mat your little inchie patchwork the
rest went together quickly since there was no image to color.

Be sure to go to the challenge to see all my teammates lovely creations.

TUESDAY THROWDOWN

Good Morning to you all. Today Team B is posting the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.
It is Space Adventure and our sponsor is My Grafico. The images I used for this
challenge were the zwd planet, zwd spaceship 2 and zwd alien.

I don't make many guy cards so
this was  fun. Using my diamond plate folder I  embossed some metal for the bottom of the card. Cut out my cute little Martian and used some  triple thick gel on his eyes so they look like google eyes.

I colored the space ship trying to make it look
 like some foreign metal.Then
used triple thick on the little lights. The dark blue sky was splattered with white
paint, sprinkled little stars, then the planet added. The fun star border is from
MFT. Lastly I foam dotted on my goofy little sentiment to go along with my little martian.
Have a little guy card for my stash.

Be sure to stop by to see all my talented teammates creations!!

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV #64

Monday, don't you just love new beginnings. I always feel
like Monday is opportunity for a fresh start!
 Today starts a new challenge
at FOSTV. Today we want you to make a card with a moving part.
The team had fun with this one. You will find lots of different inspiration
at our Challenge Blog, so stop by and join us.

Feeling a little crazy this morning, how about you? Always good to do something to make you laugh.
So thought I would put my post all over the page today :)
It was a very toasty weekend with temps at 95. Thankful it is supposed to cool back down into the 80's this week

My image is from the Bring On The Sun. After coloring I cut out with a Spellbinder Scalloped Circle and punched little holes in alternating scallops then attached with a brad.

Using some Lost & Found dp I stitched the side panels on and then added the
strip between. It really isnt crooked but I didnt realize the dp is printed crooked
until I had it together. so it gives the illusion of being crooked grrrr! Well we
were to make a moving part on our card so I took the easy way out! I cut
a scalloped hole and attached my image with a brad to swing up. I
cut three sizes of scalloped circles from both dps and
added them on the inside stamping messages on them for fun.

Thru the window you can see one this is one of the messages stamped on the inside circles.

You could be the proud owner of this Beautiful  Stamp Set...join the challenge this week!

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV #40

Once again my favorite day...Happy Friday!! Surgery day so its always a long one
but then I'm free for the weekend if I don't melt. It was 94 degrees
yesterday and supposed to be 97 today. I think we
are in for one long hot summer when its that hot this early!!
Today TTSTV challenge is to make a snack or treat topper.

Tammylee has put together a quick how to tutorial here.
I am making some little Easter treat bags
for my grandchildren and girls so this was perfect timing!

Chase my oldest grandson loves to fish
so I made a fishing theme topper and filled it with sour gummy worms
The fish and pole is from the
On The Fly set .I used a MFT looped die to finish the edge and tied shut with string. His sister Skylar is my only granddaughter so I made hers girly using the sweet little Bunny from the brand new release Garden Bunny. I used a zigzag punch to make the edge for hers and ties shut with a piece for dyed ribbon. She likes M&Ms.

My second oldest grandson like trucks
so I used the fun truck and tiremark image from the Big Boys Toys set. The edging is the left over from a MFT star die.Thought it was fun with the image. Thisone is tied shut with some sisal rope. Alec does not like chocolate so he got skittles. My youngest grandson loves to fish with his dad and so he also got a fishing theme using the On The Fly set again but using the little boat image, then using a left over from the MFT looped die for the border. His is tied shut with string. Worms for him.

My daughters like my homemade soap,
and would rather have that than candy.
My oldest, Kelci is a horsewoman who rides like the wind so I used the boots from the Cowgirls Rule set for hers. I used a PTI scalloped die for her border and tied shut with a sisal string.
My youngest, Rebekah likes flowers so I used the Sending Happy Thoughts
rose and the hummer is from the Hum
Along set for hers I tied hers shut with some fun polka dotted ribbon.
Both the SIL are on short deployments so they have to wait for theirs.

My teammates used their topped bags
for all kinds of fun things. Be sure to stop by
and see all their GREAT ideas!

This weeks winner will take home the
Wild and Free set ...

INKADO MARCH CHALLENGE

I am playing along with The Inkido March Challenge. it is The Great Outdoors

I have used two pics of my granddaughter. Her dad had been on a short deployment
last fall and got home that day so they went to an area not far from their home
to play. They were playing tag thus the title.

Using a Webster Page, I tore and distressed the
edges then stitched it onto the green base
Using modeling paste to add some texture
and the raised vine on the bottom.

The cardboard and  mulberry paper were colored using some
glimmer mist and paint then tucked under the pics.
The little frame mats for the photos are Spellbinders.
The chipboard key was gessoed and then paint and glimmer
 mist added to it also.

The butterfly was cut from vellum then embossed
and sprayed with glimmer mist, nested on mulberry paper.

I made a variety of paper and fabric

flowers for the sprays on each side. I made the chipboard

leaf flourishes and painted then crackled.
The little banner was cut and distressed with ink
and paint attaching to the string.

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV CHALLENGE #63

Good Morning Friends, welcome back to another FOSTV challenge.
This week your challenge is to make a St. Patrick's Card.

I have used two of the February release images and sentiment from the Lots of Luck set.
Check out Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. for this set. Our March release is starting
and we have some fabulous sets that will soon be available so stay tuned! After coloring
the little pot of shamrocks I cut it out with a Spellbinder beaded circle
and added a little green to each bead plus dotted around with
black dimensional paint, then matted on the chartreuse scalloped circle.
No stitching as my machine is on the fritz again and I have
to drive 65 miles to the closest repair shop.
A little decorative border and jewels for a little shimmer.
Had to add a "lucky shamrock" for some fun. My papers are from
a stack my friend sent me, sorry don't know the name
.A little string  tied on and its done!
The girls have a great variety of inspiration to jump start you
so pop over.

The lucky winner will receive this great stamp set
just perfect for your man cards!

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV #39

This week the Tutorial Time Challenge is brought to us by Jane Chambers.

It is to make a Detachable Bookmark Card.
This would be a great card to go with a nice book for someone.
It is an easy card to make....but you want to follow Jane's directions and perforate the
detachable part before you make the card. I made my card and did that part last
because I wast quite sure where I wanted the line AND wouldn't you
know my ruler slipped and I made the perforation crooked! Nice,
 I had to start over!

'

I used images from the Black Eyed Susan Mini and the
Sending Happy Thoughts Sets. All the Sets are found at
Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co.The front one was cut with a
Spellbinder Scalloped Oval, the inside was cut out and matted
onto the checked oval. The stamp one was added to the bookmark.
A little ribbon added for the bookmark.

I had never used the little
perforation tool before and got a little zealous. After moving
the card around as I was working on it,  it came
loose and is barely hanging on as you can see. I will
used a lighter touch next time!
The girls have a great variety of fun cards to inspire you.
Check out the tutorial and join us.

The winner will receive this card.

. I cut my doily in half and the put it back
together to form a oval. The green is cut from a Spellbinder and
attached to the dp then a piece of lace attached. The flower was from
a rak I received and the sentiment is from
the MFPa Heinrich Co. Spring Joy set.

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV #62

Happy Monday Friends! Its beautiful spring here in the desert. It has been in
the 80's this weekend and I sure haven't wanted to be indoors. Spent lots of time
working in the garden and picking peas, broccoli, lettuce, turnips, carrots and cauliflower.
Of course when most of you are enjoying wonderful 80'and 90's come summer we
will be melting in the 115 plus weather LOL

Are you all ready for the new challenge at FOSTV??
This week we have a inspiration photo for you...
Such a lovely peaceful room isnt it!

For my card I used a soft aqua patterned paper keeping is simple like the room.
I colored up two of the Dogwood images from the set and cut them out. They are a
little bright and more blue but this is the closest colors I had.
I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Big set and cut it out with a Spellbinder
fancy tag die, adding a little glitz to it.
I hand dyed some ribbon to make a bow, sorta reminded me
of the draperies in the room.
to see these stamp sets and all their great selection of
paper craft supplies!
If you stop over and join in the Challenge you
may be the winner of the great man In My Den set.

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV #38

Today it is Thrifty Stamper's turn to bring us the tutorial challenge.
It is brushed ink stripes and you can find it  here. I didn't have the
necessary supplies so I just used my jar of purple ink made a swipe added
two drops of water another stripe and continued till it faded to the palest.
I love the MFP a Heinrich Co.Premium card stock, it is 140 lb,
great for using the ink on and lays so nice and flat!

Not the most successful with the ink but I love do love how my image
turned out. After coloring it I  added some Triple Gloss to my
wine glass. Embossed a strip down the center punching
holes in the centers of each section and wove the
checked ribbon thru . It seemed so plain so I added the funky checked leaf .
My sentiment is one from the new All Postal Set.
It is one the new February releases found

by and join the challenge this week, the winner will receive this fun set.
