PIXIE COTTAGE CHALLENGE

Hope your week is going well. Yipee it's already Wednesday and the Pixie Cottage Challenge is cute. How easy is that??

This is my cutie. A Baby Boy album for my dear friend Cindy. My last post is a card for her and this album is also for her. The reason they are moving is because their only son who now lives in Texas is having his first child. They have been trying for years and Joy of Joys they have a son due in about 8 weeks. Cindy and Michael want to be near to be able to spend time with their only grandchild.

I decided to make her a paper bag album because I had once made one for her birthday which she still rants about. I used the Waltzingmouse Sketch. Its a pretty simple front page. The red star in embossed with stars and the edges distressed. The Pixie Cottage image is the cute little Blake from Michelles Scrapbooking and More. It is also distressed and attached with a button. I used a zig zag stitch plus a decorative star stitch down the side and punched stars to add some fun down the other side. The edges are also distressed as is the bag itself. Its all tied up with lots of ribbons. I also distressed the gramma, grammpa and star. It has some fun inside pages which I will share later.

TUESDAY THROWDOWN CHALLENGE

Good Morning are you ready for a new THROWDOWN today?? Our new challenge is 3D and our sponsor is FLOURISHES. They have many products for your stamping needs and some lovely stamp sets you can find HERE. The one I'm using today is the Nasturtiam Set .Don't you just love nasturtiams with their cheery little flowers and the way the cool round leaves lift themselves up to the sun. To do something different I made a spring card. Made several punched edges and then stitched them for the base. I stamped, water colored and cut out several of one of the flowers and then layered it and foam dotted on the base with a leaf. On the other side I cut out a couple layers with a nestie and added the sentiment.

My dear friend Cindy is moving next week so this is for her. Happy for her but will sure miss her.

For the center I used a corner punch to make a couple layers to matt the image onto. The orange layer was run thru the embossing folder. The image is water colored and a few of the flowers cut out and pop dotted up for some added dimension. The butterfly is one of the HEART SONG DIGIS

A Layout of my granddaughter at the park. We went a couple different days and her dad met us there for lunch. She has so much fun feeding the ducks. She wanted them to come with her but of course they just wanted to get the food and swim away. :)
I tore my paper and rolled it to form a frame and a bow, used Spellbinder flower nesties to make the big flowers, cut out leaves and tore out a piece of a song "In the Park". I used a MS punch for the outer layer. I used Brazill, Basic Grey and My Minds Eye papers. Finished it off with premade letters for her name. I cut all the photos out with Spellbinders label 18 then tore the green paper to fit around them.
