Tutorial Time Speedy TV

This week our tutorial is brought to us by Jane. It is to make weathered wood.
This is a nice technique, stop over and visit the tutorial HERE. After making my
weathered wood background I added a embossed brown to
mat my image on. I used a image from the Big Boy Toys Set colored
and cut out with a Spellbinder Scalloped Square. A scalloped circular
punch was used for the sentiment. Pretty simple, just didnt have
any man embellies to go with it lol.

Come join Team B this week....

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge is Butterflies & Bows.
Our sponsor is Dee's Digis. She has a great selection you will want to visit her store.
I have used three of the images from the Spring Blocks  To be able to use three of the
blocks I made a long narrow card. I used a Spellbinder border die for the top of the card
and embossed the base before attaching the top layer. After colorings, \
adding background sky and matting they
were added to the next layer and a ribbon added. We all have lots of great ideas for
the image so stop over and join in this week.

Ready for a new week??

Hope you all had a great weekend. Today our challenge at FOSTV is a round card.
I love round cards, a circular shape is always captivating to me!
I started with a doily and stitched a couple layers together. The Spellbinder scalloped
circle was embossed and added. The floral images are from the Coneflower Set colored
and cut out. The sentiment is also from the same set and cut out with a Spellbinder
fancy label and then bradded to another one. A Cherry Lynn butterfly
finishes it off. Stop over and look at my teamies beautiful cards!
You have two weeks to join in this challenge.

Albums....

One of my favorite things to make. This week at TTSTV it's my turn to bring the tutorial. I call them fan fold albums and you can find the instructions here. The fun part about these albums is the fan attachment allows them to be chunky and still lay pretty flat
You can make as many pages as you want, just making sure to adjust the amount of folds.

UGH...Having trouble with lighting!! It really looks much better in person with the true colors. Does need a few more embellies but I ran out of steam, will work on it some more later lol!!

The cover was made using a Spellbinder die for the shape with a little dp lace, pearls and stitching. I love the new Roses image, beautiful and fun to color! I stamped and cut two of the larger and one small, then nestled them together and popped two up for some dimension.
I embellished each page with dps, stamps, paste, ink, lace etc.

For the inside cover I used the  flowers from the Coneflower Set, sentiment from the Huge Blossom Set and under the flap I used the peacock image from the Be A ShowOff Set and sentiment from the Family Set.

Pg 1  Used the image and sentiment from the Tiger Lily Set

Pg 2 Used images from the Friends Set and sentiment from the Today Tomorrow and Always Set

New Friday Challenge

Here at Tutorial Time on Speedy TV our tutorial is brought to us BARB by this week. It is distressed Stains. Its quick and easy and gives a  nice background to use instead of dps. After using a couple Tim Holtz stains I also used the same folder to emboss for some added dimension. I love the new rose image and Sterling Silver Roses are one of my favorites, so I colored it the lavender and cut it out. A couple of foam dots to pop it up and help it look a little more dimensional too. A different color combo but I like the contrast. So pop over and check out Barb's tutorial and give this one a try!

Friends of Speedy TV

Our new Challenge is to make a Joy Fold Card.
There are lots of tutorials out there if you dont know how to make one.
They are easy and so versatile. For mine I went with the aqua/turquoise
colors for my dps. I also used a SU embossing folder for the white inside
pieces. I used the flowers from the Camellia Set through out the card.
The hummer is from the Hum Along Set.
A couple stacked buttons for the closure and its done.
Easy and fun to do!

Here what it looks like opened up.
My teammates have some beautiful examples for you this week,

the challenge.

I took my color combo from the My Minds Eye piece of dp. The edge was cut with a MS Daisy punch and the blue strip stitched on. The background was embossed with the SU honeycomb  folder. The blue and image were cut out with a Spellbinder Die. The image is from the July Release Coneflowers. Faux stitching and foam dots popped up the image. The sentiment is from the Today Tomorrow and Forever Set. A blue button for the stop and there you have a fun twisted easel card!.
