Blog Hop....DAY Two*****

Today The Friends of Flourishes i Blog Hop is featuring the Set Small Words  and
The Endearing Rose Sets

The Small Words set has a variety of sentiments for all occasions.
I swooshed on three colors let them run and puddle a bit for the background.
I used a cog and wheel die cut then matted two of the sentiments to add two the card.
This is a quick and easy way to make a card with out having
to do any coloring! Give it a whirl....

The Endearing Rose Set has several image and I chose the bird one. After coloring and cutting it out I mounted in on the embossed over with some foam dots.
A lacy border and sentiment completes it. A great set for a quick card!

So again to day visit all of our blogs to see the great inspiration!!

Blog Hop....DAY ONE~~~

Friends of Flourish is having a Blog Hop today featuring the My Funny Valentine Set.and the Florentine Frame Set.

My Funny Valentine has an image as well as several sentiments
but I just chose to use a couple of the sentiments
on my bookmark. After cutting out the base with a color from the Azure Collection
I added a piece of scrap dp and a little faux stitching. A couple layers of
Spellbinder hearts from the Azure and Candy Pink Collection then white to add the sentiment.
The second sentiment was cut out with another Spellbinder die.
A button, sequins and ribbons make for a simple tag!
Check out all the stamps and Paper Collections at the Flourishes LC Store!

The Florentine Frame Set is Such a pretty and Versatile Set you need to see all the
ways my teamies used it. I actually made two different cards. One using embossing powders
to make a faux metal background. Trying for a more masculine look I cut the frame
in half and put it back together to make it smaller.

Using the same Florentine Frame set I did the second card to be more feminine.Embossing
and distressing plus adding some handmade flowers and leaves.

plus several different images and could not get anything I liked, so this is as good as
it gets this week lol~~ Some weeks are a bit over the top!
The image is from the Year of Flowers #3

Tuesday Throwdown Team B

Today the Challenge is Say It With Words. Words being the focus....
Our Sponsor is Winnie & Walter and they gave us stamp sets of our choice.
I am using the Kindness Set. I just love it because of the fun whimsical trees and yet such
thought provoking sentiments, a perfect balance!!
So I wanted to have a little fun with this one.I cut out papers and with each image in mind
I swished on the water colors. After drying I stamped each one.
I stamped parts of the sentiments and then cut them up and added with some
doodling and faux stitching around the edges. I matted each on a cardstock to enhance
the card. I tried to achieve a sort of whimsical
scene for each one of these little note cards.

I live in the desert Southwest and although we dont have much green we have the most fantastic
colors in our sunrise and sunsets as you can see from my blog header.
Sometimes the skies are soft pastels and sometimes Boldly colored!
I chose a pastel colored sky to go with the cactus.

The fun part about these is there is no perfection expected. The sun was round but just kept
bleeding till it became lopsided, and that was the fun of just swishing on  colors!

This is my favorite tree, it looks like a sucker.
. You know the giant ones with the colors the swirl round and round! Standing there large and stately reminding us of  the importance of  kindness
and its Big effects that are like throwing a pebble in the pond!

This crooked little tree stands alone showing off its beauty and giving shade in the wide open spaces..
You just never know where kindness will show up do you!!

So pop on over to our  TUESDAY THROWDOWN CHALLENGE and join us!

I cut my image out with a Spellbinder die added the sentiment and mounted it all on the navy.
