PIXIE COTTAGE CHALLENGE Sketch and or Double up

Stop by and join us for the PIXIE COTTAGE CHALLENGE # 28. The double up challenge this week is quite simple. Two images, and a sentiment will count as one. I tweeked the sketch a bit and l have use a flower called greeting by artish. After watercoloring I added some orange stickles to the center for some sparkle and three dots on each side of the navy blue mat. I used the # nestie to cut out the flower and mat and a scalloped oval nestie for the sentiment and shadow. The green flourishes we cut out on the cricket for me by my SIL and stickles added to them. The buttons are so pretty if you could see them in person they are a dark matt navy blue but have the most beautiful sheen to them and they are from my button box. The three ribbon strips are some hand dyed seam binding and its all mounted on the wonderful creme paper with the orange diagonals that I made. I used some orange chalk to shade all around the edges.

My house is hot, I'm hot ,all the critters are hot everthing is hot!! So now that Ive vented about this heat I guess I feel better. :) My card was made using Crafty Creations Sketch this week. Although you have to look hard to see it the print is stitched on. I used one of the Tildas that my teamie Cheryl at Pixie Cottage sent me. My papers are SU. I used a flowers nestie to cut out the frame for Tilda to sit on. Stitched it with the navy blue. I ran some vellum thru the dotted swiss folder and mounted it behind the frame. The frame is foam dotted up to create the seat for Tilda. My punch is a MS loop that my friend Martha sent me. By the way it has been on my wish list for a while so I was so quite excited when I got a box of treasures from Martha and there it was. She is a super friend!! Here it is hump day already and time for our Pixie Cottage Challenge. You can take your choice of using the sketch and/or theme. Today the theme is an aperture card, a window. I used one of the Pixie Girls of the World named Maggie. The plaid dp is Daisypaper lullaby. It was stitched on the outside then a hole cut out with a rectangle nestie. A layer of the white and the BoBunny dotted ocean also was cut out with the nestie, embossed and layered with sponge dots. The blue was run thru the dotted swiss cuttlebug folder and then punched with the MS arches. I attached two buttons and tied with some pearl cotton. The bow is handdyed seam binding. Inside the Maggie was watercolored and cut out with a oval nestie. It needed a little more so I cut a white and dotted ocean with the scalloped oval nestie and framed her then attached all onto the plaid and faux stitched around it.
