Monday Challenge...

Is it just me or does it seem as if the weekend goes twice as fast as any week day!!
We have had such beautiful weather here, its been in the 80's the past 2 weeks and
you want to be outside every minute of the day. Very hard
to go to work and be indoors all day.! Today a little front is going thru so
the temp has dropped down in the low 60's and we are supposed to get
a little bit of rain and of course wind..
So enough about weather, FOSTV has a new challenge today and it is to use
brown and pink. You can make a card or any type of project just so you use the
colors. I started with a pink dotted dp and added dotted embossing to it before
stitching it on. The brown was cut with a Spellbinder die as was  the doily also.
The flower was cut with a Spellbinder Bitty Blossom die and a pearl center added.
I cut out the leaves with a pair of decorative scissors. The sentiment is from the
Today Tomorrow and Always Stamp Set stamped onto some Washi tape and
added to the brown flag. You can find all the stamp sets and other paper
crafting needs at MFP Stamp Store.Come check out all the girls lovely
cards and join us in this weeks Challenge!!

Team B's turn

Tuesday Throwdown is sponsored by Sweet n Sassy this week and they provided the image.
The challenge is to use metal..First I embossed a piece of navy blue then stitched it onto
to white.  After coloring my image I cut her with a Spellbinder die and foam dotted onto
the navy blue piece.I used some very thin metal sheeting and cut out a sprocket then
attached with my cool screw brad. Then sentiment was also attached to the metal.
The whole time I was making this card I was chuckling to myself. My dad built
houses and businesses  in our community for 40 years. I learned at
an early age to form, frame, hang doors, sheetrock and mud etc. There is
this picture in my head of showing up at a work site dressed like this
and my Dads reaction!! LOL it would be something like
Oh My Gosh Girl whatever are you thinking, you get
home and get some clothes on right NOW!!

Friends of Speedy Tv new Challenge

Our new CHALLENGE today is to make a diamond fold card. Its a new one to me
but  with a Utube tutorial it was quite easy. I love dots
so chose a dotted dp for the base of my card.Stitched on some white borders and used
a Martha Stewart punch to add the decorative borders. The White mat
for the diamond was cut with a Spellbinders die and a little flag
tucked behind. The love flower is from the  Great Flowers Set colored cut out and foam dotted
on.The Sentiments are from the Chrysanthemum and Dogwood Flower Sets,  punched,
distressed and added to the peachy bases. The butterfly is cut from with a
Cherry Lynn die. In person the peach is much softer, not
so guady! Really pretty quick and a fun fold that lays
flat to go into an envelope!
My teammates all went different directions with this one,
lots a beautiful inspiration. Check them out and come join in the fun!!

Happy Monday to you all!

Hope you had a great weekend. I'v had the creeping crud for the past 10 days
so it was a blessing not to have to get up and go to work..
That is why I havent been around visiting much but
happy to say starting to feel a little better! So onto this weeks theme at
Friends Of Speedy TV.
This week is pretty easy it is to use a die or punch or both! I have used
two different Spellbinder dies and a punch.
I started by stamping a Coneflower image onto the scrap dp. Next I punched
the top and bottom edges with a Martha Stewart Arches Punch and added to the dp.
Stitched it all on to the card base. The sentiment is from the Seed Packet Set.
After stamping and cutting out I faom dotted it on. I cut several layers
of the flower and put together with a brad. Adding a little paint to
the flower edges to soften them. Cut out a couple
leaves and added a piece of tea stained scrim.
MRP Stamp Store has the image and sentiment that I have used
for sale along with lots of others, plus papers etc. Stop by the store and browse.

My teammates have some very cool inspiration you will want to check out Here.....
