Heart Song Inspiration Challenge

Happy Monday to you all! A new Heart Song Challenge today and for our
challenge this week your choice is buttons/ brads.
The image on my card is Stitched with Love
found at Leah's Heart Song Shop.

A few days before Christmas a dear friend died unexpectedly. For quite a few years a group of us rode together, went to church together and hung out. In the past few years they have all retired and moved away to be closer to family, so we dont see each other to often. Everyone came back Saturday to attend the Memorial Service for Barbara. One of those bitter sweet times. Great to see friends but also missing one. Lots of sharing of pictures and memories. So all that to say the reason I made two of these cards for Barbara's daughter and for her brother Mike and wife. We all used to spend lots of fun times at their home. One bright spot in it all is that we were assured that she is now at rest dwelling in Heaven with our blessed savior.

I couldn't find the right paper so finally took a print and
changed it to meet my needs with some stamps and paint. I chose this image
because the dot filled heart reminded me of all of us and the loving friendships
we had formed. The image was water colored and
cut out to mount on the doily. A little button center for the flower and
on the bow to go with the challenge. The simple sentiment says it all.

TUESDAY THROWDOWN CHALLENGE

Here it is Tuesday again already.. Seems the days blur together lately LOL Our sponsor is Stampin UP today and the theme is Baby it's Cold Outside.
I have used and old SU image called Flaky Friends, always makes me smile. This cute
group of snowmen reminds me of how much fun it is when friends or family
get together! Don't you just love
it when you look at a group gathering and see how varied we are but how we seem
to balance one another with our variety
of abilities, opinions and looks.

So on with the challenge. Hope you stop by to see all the great creations
from my teammates. AND be sure to join in!
Starting with a snowflake dp then adding the turquoise SU paper I punched the snowflake border with a MS punch then stamped snowflakes with Versamark.
I then stitched the sides with a tacking stitch that reminded me of snowflakes. The snowflakes are punched and the large one is four layers. Of course
had to make snow so used some chunky glitter for that. The image is
water colored and cut with a Spellbinder label #18. A little tag for the sentiment and voila its done!
This goes to my pastors wife as she has been a great encourager during this siege with my mom.

Entering Challenges:
There's Magic in the Air: From the Heart, use image with a heart, TU or encouragement sentiment and give to someone.
The Cheerful Stamp Pad: Let it Snow

Are you ready for a new Heart Song Inspiration challenge??? Your choice of themes is torn paper and/or border punches. We have a couple new team members and lots of great creations so hop on over. Hope your new year is starting off well. Things around here are still a little harried as we are still having to take care of my mom but I am happy to say she is really improving so should be able to be on her own soon. She made me laugh when she said she wanted to drive the other day!! She can barely walk with a walker...told her she would have to improve a wee bit more LOL But at least she is taking a interest in life again.

I'm using both the themes today. My sweet little image is water colored and then matted on the torn paper. Stop by to find this image and many more at The Heart Song Store. I used a MS botanical punch for the border. Some hand dyed ribbon and a fun flower complete the card.
