Flourishe's Stamps in Review

Today we are doing a Review of Stamps at Flourishes.  I am featuring a image from the set called Endearing Rose.

I couldnt wait to use this pretty new image with the birds !Using pencils and Copics
I  colored the image. I die cut it twice but just didnt like it so I finally decided to just cut it out.
After cutting it out I have attached it to the print half oval
even though the print doesnt show in the pic. The sentiment was embossed
on the Vellum and a gold glitter added to each edge.
Some hand dyed ribbon and done. After took the pic I
can see the sentiment should have been
over to the left more but I glued it down along the glitter lines
and no more paper that color so just have to go with it!

Happy Saturday!!!

Good Morning Ladies!
Marks Finest Papers has decided to close its doors so more challenges.

Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner Im making a few cards.
Today Im using a pumpkin from the  Autumn Splendor Set.
. Dont you love the pumpkin image, it a great one to color. I colored up
3 in fact but only ended up using one for this card. The scrap paper is not exactly
fall but the peachy tones and swirls seem to go with my little pumpkin just fine
. I added the tab and embossed it. Using the sentiment from
the I Am Thankful Set. The orange border is the negative left over from a
star die that I had cut out. A few sequins and its a wrap!

Challenge #44

Good Morning Friends, we have a new MFP Stamp Challenge
Anything Goes... how easy it that!

Anything you make will qualify for an entry, so come on and join the fun this week.
I started with coloring my flowers from the Asian Delights Set.
The purple SU paper is embossed with a Dotted Swiss folder and cut
with a Stampin Up scalloped die The dp is old and I dont know who made it.
Using some inks I colored up some paper and cut the sentiment background
with a Spellbinder die as well as the background for the flowers.
Some twine and a button finish it off.

As I see some of you posting pics of your fall trees clothed in beautiful colors
Im a wee bit jealous lol! But here in the southwest its nice
in a different  way. With cooler temps and the little rain on Sunday everything
is beautifully green and flowers blooming like crazy. The weather
is supposed to cool down into the 80s next  week but even in the
90s the nights are cooling and its a delightful time to be outside
We have most of our fall garden planted
and hope to finish it tomorrow.

Conie Fong Art

is our Sponsor this week at Tuesday Throwdown and the
challenge is pretty simple...   add a Border!
I am using the Feeling Fabulous image from Connie Fong.
I love that her images have the sweetest faces, isn't this one adorable.
After coloring her up I cut her out with a Spellbinder die. Some corner borders.
I also used Stampin Up dies for the for borders across the card.
Foam dotted her on and added the sentiment cut with a old Cuttlebug die.
My teammates did a super job on this challenge!
Check out their cards. Hope you will join us.

You know I just have to share a little something.
A few days ago my hubby calls me at work to say
I had received a large package!
When I get home from work I open a package stuffed full of wonderful stamps!
A gift from Stacy Morgan, how amazing is that!

Since I have started blogging I have met so many wonderful ladies and been
blessed by many as well. When I started out I didnt know how to
do links. Mona called me and walked me thru it. I have
received papers and other goodies from
Mary and Leanne and there have been others as well. My
sweet friend Martha keeps me in crafting supplies!
Many thoughtful and sweet inquires and encouragements over time.
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to all!
You all enrich my life for knowing you!

MFP STAMPS

Good Morning Friends!
Saturday means a new Challenge at MFP Stamps
We have a color challenge today.

We would love to have you play along with us this week,
just make sure to include all three colors on your card or project.

Another simple card is in order. Ive been battling a horrible sore throat
and sinuses. Seems to have made my vertigo a little worse the past few
days too. So all that to say this didnt take too much time. I used the
embossed strip for the side because of the swirls
 reminding me of blowing leaves.
The oval was cut with a  Little Inkers Die.
I love these leaves and sentiment  from the Autumn Splendor Set.
Colored and cut out two of the images then cut them up and
stuck on. The twine wrapped and tied. There you go easy peasy!
MFP Stamp Store has a 15% off Sale right now
Do go check it out. Im sure you will find
 something  you cant live without!!

Challenge #43

Today at MFP Stamp Challenge we have a group of inspiration pics for you.

I love the green white and black But I did that the last inspiration
so I chose the sunflower this time.
The Image and sentiment are both from the Bring On The Sun Set.
After coloring my image and
glittering the bees wings I mounted it on brown.
After the scrap piece was cut into a fishtail it was attached
 with a raffia tied button.
The base was randomly stamped with the Cracked Hello.
My week has be extremely hectic so quick and easy
was the order for this one!
Hope you stop over and join us this week!

A Halloween inspired photo

That is the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week is to take
 your inspiration from this photo!

Frankly Im not keen on Halloween so I tried to go with a sweeter look.
Our sponsor is a Day for Daisies.
They generously supplied us with the all images. I am using the
First Flight image. I did add a little purple into my
card. I made the layered pennants then attached them to a curved strip, covering
the strip in black glitter and attached with the black dots
On the ends. I also added the row of dots.
A scrap piece of dp was attached to some purple with the edge
cut with a scalloped SU die.
I attached the image the black piece. It was a Spellbinder Scalloped Rectangle
that I cut down to fit the image size.
A little computer generated sentiment foam dotted on
trying to make it more of an encouragement card than Halloween!
My teammates really made some wonderful cards so stop
 over for some inspiration!

MFP STAMP CHALLENGE

For our MFP Stamp Challenge this week we were to make
 a Faux Metal Embellishment.
We have an easy to follow tutorial so be sure to hop on over and give it a try!
Cas seemed the way to go with this one.
I used silver embossing power generic brand. The sentiment
is from the Great Flowers Set.
The bottom sentiment is from the  same set.
I wired on the faux metal piece and stamped the bottom.
Pretty quick but I need a couple guy cards so this will qualify!

Thank you for the kind comments on my
Last week rant about someone coming into my 93yr old dad's house and stealing
a Large amount of money, phone and medication!
My mom calls me at work about 11:00am all frantic.
You will not believe it, the guy came back today!!
However today my dad was sitting in his chair reading. Kept hearing noises but it was
pretty windy so at first thats what he thought it was. When he heard his side door
shaking he went to check and the guy was standing there jerking the door looked right
in the window at my dad. He took off before my dad could get out the door! When the
police came we discovered he had first try to get in the back door and bedroom window.
The police brought back a photo lineup and my dad identified him!
But they have to find him before they can arrest him!
Please pray they find him soon!!!

On a more cheerful note....
Here is the Southwest a pretty vine grows  called a Coral Vine (Antigonon).
I have one in the front and one in the back yard. The backyard has grown up over
the  entire top of shade cloth protecting the pond and
more fragile plants for the summer. The whole top is a blaze of pink and these few are
coming over the side. They looks so pretty thought I would share a pic of it.

New Saturday Challenge

Good Morning friends, today MFP Challenge is CAS with birds.
Im slowly getting the hang of the cas. I have used the peacock from the
Be A Showoff Set. I love peacocks, the males are so majestic with their stunning tails.
They stir memories from when my girls were young and we had a
menagerie of horses, goats, chickens and dogs
They would fly high up in the trees to roost at night and then
fuss over whose spot was whose lol!! Super
watch dogs they are too!
So anyways onto my card, as you can see a simple swish of color
and splashes with bit of black spatter.
A fast brown swish for a limb for my little guy to sit on
and a sentiment to finish it off.
Be sure to stop by and check out my teammate
wonderful creations and show us yours!!

Im feeling frustrated and have to vent! My father will be 94 in a couple
days and on Wednesday he went to lie down for a nap
at about 9:45 am got up about 11:45. A person or
persons  climbed over a 6 ft block wall and
had entered his home, going  thru the entire
house opening closets, drawers and containers. They took
some of his medications, a very large sum of money and his cell phone
all while he was sleeping. Walking right by his bedroom going into
the others. Im glad he didnt wake up because I shudder
to think what might have happened. I live the next block over
from him, its a nice neighborhood. Is nowhere safe...
It is a crazy world we live in today.

. It is a color challenge and the color is PINK
a project with lots of pink can also use neutrals white and black. Mine is pretty simple today.
A dotted swiss embossed stripe with a Spellbinder design down the center.
The teacup and sentiment is from the Relax A Bit Set.I added silver to the edges
of the cup lip and the design down the side however
I see it looks like some smeary stuff
. Well it is what it is not redoing it!

Inspiration Photo

Happy Saturday, it is time for a new MFP Stamp Challenge and it is photo inspired!

Our inspiration photo has many different possibilities
.

The black white and lime really jumped out at me so thats my choice.
I cut all the pieces in several different colors trying to decide what worked best,
so here is my take.
Decided on a black background and then added the green layer cut
with a Spellbinder I think its called Radiant Rectangles.
Then some white and black layers. The bottom
stripe is a piece of Washi Tape.
The flower is from the Gardenia Set
and sentiment is from the  Dogwood Set.

Tuesday Throwdown Sketch

Today we are using a Sketch for our Challenge.

Our Sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and I am using the Pickles Mad Hatter Tea Party

Isn't this image the most fun, it made me laugh, a frog at the Mad Hatter!
So after coloring the image
I matted it and everything else in black. A left over piece of dp
blended with the image and a piece of recycled See's candy wrapper
for the black & white. I used a Stampin UP die to cut the scalloped piece
 and them dry embossed.
The black resin dots were perfect for the three embellies.
Be sure to stopover at Tuesday Throwdown to see
my teamies creations and you will want to stop over at
Lacy Sunshine to see all of her great Stamps and Digis!

Challenge # 37

Today at MFP Stamp Challenge is Technique Week....Twine wrapped block.
I used a small square stamp as my block as I didnt have a acrylic block and it
worked fine.First added random color to my card then
stamped with the string alternating directions on each row
and then dry embossed with the dots.
. Using the Pansy image from the
Today Tomorrow and Always Set.

I stamped and colored them then cut them apart to add to the oval.
The sentiment is from the Friends Set.
It is always fun to try something new and find
all the different ways you can do it. My talented teammates
got creative with this one so stop
over and check out the great inspiration they have for you.
Looking forward to seeing all of your ideas and creations too!

After cutting the card I covered it with some lavender dp and added the Stampin UP border.
My tag is cut with a Spellbinder Die and tied on .The sentiment is
from the Oopsy Daisy Set.  My flowers are from the Friends  Set, I created
a new hybrid color LOL!! As you can see I added a couple to my tag
. The top is cut with a Spellbinder die too. Simple but a nice change, you can
tuck a gift card, little book etc in the pocket.
We would be delighted if you come join us this week!

The Card with tag in it
The tag
I also finished the inside of the pocket

Todays Challenge is

a color one. MFP Challenge is to use the color tan. It should be the predominate
color but you can used black, brown or white as well as a small amount of
1 other color. Tan was a bit hard for me, I like color!
Using a brown and tan plaid to add some color to the tan base helps.
I decided on brown leaves instead of green, seemed
to go better with my  tan & brown flower and  the
background. I used a Spellbinder die for the leaf spray.
The sentiment is from the Sending Happy Thoughts Set..
Simple and relatively quick. You have the week
to join in the fun so stop over!

Tuesday Throwdown Team B

Good Morning our Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week is use your
 Favorite Embellishment!
Our Sponsor is Poppy Power and they have the Most Beautiful images!!
If you love Botanicals this is the place to shop!! So I have used the
beautiful Clematis image for my card, coloring it in reds. I love Clematis but
unfortunately they dont like the desert and wont grow here,
so have to be satisfied with them on a card!
I dont  know that I have a particularly favorite embellie but
I do love ribbons and pearls. I didnt have any pearls so used some sequins,
jewels and a hand dyed ribbon to go with my clematis image. My tag was
embossed with a Stampin Up folder and the dp is a Teresa Collins World Travel
piece. The pretty border is a PTI die. My teammates have some beautiful
cards to inspire you so stop by and visit them!!
