Heart Song Designs Digis.... Newest Releases

Todays Heart Song Designs release is a beautiful tulip and a fun flower set....Bloom Trimmers.

I water colored the tulip then cut out and put onto the scalloped oval.Made some punched strips, dotted and attached to the top. Water colored a strip of smaller tulips and attached onto the base with some scallops that I dotted. Made a double button stop for the top then dyed some ribbon, added a button and also made a tiny tulip for the HB tag. Thats the fun thing about digis you can make all sizes.

For my next project I used the flower set to decorate a picture frame for my 3 year old granddaughter. Her daddy deployed to Afghanistan 3 weeks ago but 5 days after he got there his father died unexpectedly and he had to come home. He just left again yesterday so this frame is for her to put a pic of her and her daddy in. This set is so versatile it could be used for embellies on card or on a variety of others projects etc!!
I printed out several pages and water colored them. There is a third flower which I didn't use on this project. I bought a UGLY frame at the dollar store, sanded and painted it white. Cut everything out and added some glitter to them. I layered the flowers for some fun dimension.

Added the butterflies with some little flying trails and the faux stitching around the inside and there you go a cute little girlie frame.

Tulips are my favorite flower and what a beauty you made with the digi. And, the frame is just lovely for your granddaugher and is sure to be very special to her.

Oh Davi these are both gorgeous projects! You really added so many details to the card... and I love them all especially the strip of smaller ones on the bottome! Great idea! Your DGD will love this pretty frame with her Daddy's picture in it! How hard it is for the families our soldiers leave behind while they serve! May God bless and protect him! Thanks for sharing with us at Stampin Sisters in Christ!

Davi, just made my second trip to this post today. First time around I was focusing on your challenge entry. I'm so sorry to say I missed the part about your DGD and her Daddy! What a wonderful Grandma gift for her. Please know that I'm praying for your family and this time of separation, lifting you all before The Throne.
PS Thanks for becoming a follower of Nutty's News. =)

Both of your projects are amazing. I love how you used the oval to frame your flowers on your easel card. The flowers on the frame along with the butterflies is so pretty. Thanks for sharing them at Stampin Sisters in Christ. Have a blessed day today!

Davi,

Your easel card is beautiful...very unusual colors for tulips, but that is why the creative process is so individual. Skylar will love getting the beautiful frame to use. Maybe they even have a picture of her daddy with his daddy and her, and it becomes a three generational remembrance to cherish for her life.

Love and blessings, Martha
