Happy Tuesday to you all. Hope you had a nice weekend.
We enjoyed some fabulous weather here. The  high on
Saturday was only 80, yesterday 89, amazing for this
time of year.  For our challenge today we are looking for
Masculine cards today. Our sponsor Dude Time Doodles
gave us some fun images to work with. I used mine to
make a Father's Day card for my husband. Started
by embossing my base with a basket weave folder
from SU then I stitched a scrap of blue striped dp
onto some lighter blue. I water colored my image and then
cut out with a Spellbinder Label #17. The sentiment in
on two layers of the Spellbinder Label #22.
Some blue twine is tied on with a button.
Be sure to stop on by and check out the teams fun
 cards and show us yours.

and the embossed white I added the lace then foam

CR84FN Challenge

I finally got the time to join Mona's color challenge .

Very pretty color combo isnt it.
I picked some of my blue plumbago flowers and trumpet vine leaves.
Sandwiching between two pieces of paper and running thru the
cuttlebug to squish the color onto the paper. Trimmed and
embossed with the dotted swiss folder
After stitching on the layers
I added the PTI border. Made a flower and some leaves and
punched a sentiment.  Voila a nice springy card for my sis who
just did a 10 mile trek for the Walk for Life...her MIL and SIL
both lost the battle to cancer last year. She is not only my sis
but my best friend and cheerleader!! The card is to go with
a little gift I got her .

Thanks for stopping by today.

Tuesday Throwdown~~~3D

Tuesday Throwdown and the team has created a fabulous
variety of inspiration for you. We have a new sponsor
Creations by AR. Adela Rosso has a wonderful variety
of 3D templates. She has generosly  supplied each of us
with a template. Be sure to stop by and check out her store
and make a purchase and show us your 3D project
. My project used the Crafters Apron. After making
the apron I covered it with a piece of
Briana Floral Collage from K& Company,

faux stitched and added some rick rack. The template
has three options, one is an insert with round holes
to hold little test tubes, oval holes for lotions etc or
just leaving open to use the whole box. I made this
box for my little sister who has a birthday in a few
weeks. Since I was putting seeds in my box I
decorated it with a garden theme. My border was
punched with a MS checkerboard punch. I dyed
some ribbon to tie around the box. After making
my flowers I attached them with a little foliage

. My butterfly is a little Cherry Lynn dye. I attached
the ribbon on the apron with buttons.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Our challenge for today is
Memorial Day. Memorial Day originally called Decoration is
a day of remembering the men and women who died while
serving in the United States Military. It was officially proclaimed on
May 1868. Many in my family have served. My girls are both
married to career military men, one of whom is returning from
deployment this week. Our freedom has a great cost to it and
I feel this is a important day to ponder that cost! It seems that
much of the meaning has been lost and it has become more
about a  day off work or school.
I'm  passionate about honoring the men
and women who serve our country.
Onto my card.... I embossed the piece of white and
stitched onto the blue then attached to the white. My flower
I colored it red and cut out with the Spellbinder label#18.
The sentiment was also cut out the the Spellbinder label#18.
The hand dyed ribbon was tied into a bow with a button
. The embossed border was cut with a Spellbinder
floral doily border.

Tuesday Throwdown

Its time for a  new challenge. This week we want to see
how you use fabric! This weeks sponsor is Digital Delights.
I have used Chef Luigi. I'm making another recipe album for my girls
and Chef Luigi was a fun choice for this recipe page although it isn't
a cake recipe. After printing out a full size version I shrank it down
 to make a border also.

Sorry this is such a big in your face pic but the small size were so
blurry you could couldnt even tell what the border was.
I used the B &W checked fabric for the
bottom strip. Also used it for one of the flower layers on the felt.
The rest of the team has some creative uses of the fabric,
 drop over for a visit.

Paper Piercing...holes, that is our challenge at  FOSTV. I missed the r and
started piecing. Lesson is to read carefully lol!! So now you know what
to do be sure to hop on over and wow us with your creation.
The winner will receive this Very fun stamp set called~

I use one of the Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. set called Pucker UP.
Using several different stamps from the set, the single lemon, the two lemons,
the sentiment and the lemon blossom. After coloring all the images I cut

them out. The sentiment was cut out with the Spellbinder Romantic
Rectangle and the lemons with the Spellbinder Label #21
Both were pierced .
The papers are some misc with no name. They were stitched
on and a little lace and some fun buttons added.

Inside more stitching....The circle is the Spellbinder beaded circles
with more piercing and  the pocket and border were punched
with a  MS Zig Zag. The big lemon is temporarily stuck on
as it is  actually a refrigerator magnet to stick up the curd
recipe. The recipe was added to the tag. A top cut from the
Spellbinder Label #21 shaded and faux stitched.
One of the lemons was cut from the image of two
colored, cut out and a ribbon added.

There is a story behind my card...A single mom lived next to me
for years. Her girls used to love help feed the horses, goats and
collect eggs. She would occasionally bring things over and I
made lemon curd for her. She thought it was divine!  She has
since remarried and lives around the corner from me. She was
recently diagnosed with breast cancer, had a mastectomy
and is now started chemo. She has the most wonderful attitude,
not woe is me but rather hey that's just the way it
is so just gotta do what ya gotta do!
I wanted to make her smile Sooo thus this
card. I am making her a jar of curd which I didnt have
time to do yet and will give her the card to go with it.
  Thanks for stopping by today!

Tuesday Throwdown

Happy Tuesday to you all. Tuesday brings a new challenge
and this week it is Motherly Love.
Our Sponsor is Sweet & Sassy.
Be sure to stop by their store, they have a great selection of images.

I have used the Morning Glories this week. After coloring them
with the copics, which really is going to take more practice. With
water colors you  move all the color around so easily with the
water,,,much different than with copics. But I will persevere lol!
My oldest daughters favorite color is blue so this will be for her.
After coloring I cut out with the Spellbinder Floral Oval then
mounted on the Spellbinder Scalloped Oval. Both were
foam mounted on. I swirled some white on a piece of
blue paper and then embossed. Attached the border, ribbon,
then the image and sentiment. A little butterfly and bow to
sweeten it up a bit. The team has lots of very pretty cards to
inspire you, be sure to stop by and visit them!!

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge #19

Since Mother's Day is just around the corner our Challenge this
week at  Friends of Speedy TV is Mother's Day. Make a
card for your mom or a special lady in your life.

The winner will receive this lovely Mother's Magnolia Set.

Because my mom went thru a long siege of health issues as
a result of complications of surgery this past winter I'm
extra happy to celebrate this  day with her this year. This pocket
card with a tag is for her. I have used the Dogwood Blossoms Set
today. This is my first try using copics and
it  certainly is different that using water colors! I can see it
will take lots of practice plus I will need more shades of colors
. After coloring two of the dogwood images a
cut then out. For the pocket I used some scraps paper but there wasn't
enough so I made a page of similar design with water colors.
Used some lace around the edges of the pocket then  dotted the
edges and fastened it together. A piece cut out  embossed  and
distressed to go in the larger space then
the ribbon wrapped around and attached.

The image was attached onto that. A little butterfly was cut out
with a Cherry Lynn die and lastly the sentiment attached.

The top of the tag was punched with the Ms Scalloped
lace punch, the bottom was embossed with a paisley folder, then
I stitched around it. I  distressed the edges and the embossed
area then added the button  and the image. My sweet
mom will be able to use it as a bookmark as she is an avid
reader. On the back I wrote her a note letting her know
how special she is to me!
Here is a pic of it put together.

Joining Mona's CR84FN color challenge today.

This Grafic 45 paper I had stashed was the perfect colors
for this color challenge. I stitched a couple pieces together and onto
the creme base. After swirling the aqua with some creme paint
to lighten it up a bit I cut  out the butterfly with a Spellbinder Wings of Hope.
Added some pearls for the body.
A little tea dyed trim for the top. The bottom border is the
Spellbinder Fleur De Lis. The white doily is a Whimsey die with
a flower added to the center and Spellbinder leaves.

The two smaller flowers are dies and punches with a little pearl center.
