Friends of Speedy Fox TV

Hope you all had a great weekend! Our challenge for today is
Memorial Day. Memorial Day originally called Decoration is
a day of remembering the men and women who died while
serving in the United States Military. It was officially proclaimed on
May 1868. Many in my family have served. My girls are both
married to career military men, one of whom is returning from
deployment this week. Our freedom has a great cost to it and
I feel this is a important day to ponder that cost! It seems that
much of the meaning has been lost and it has become more
about a  day off work or school.
I'm  passionate about honoring the men
and women who serve our country.
Onto my card.... I embossed the piece of white and
stitched onto the blue then attached to the white. My flower
I colored it red and cut out with the Spellbinder label#18.
The sentiment was also cut out the the Spellbinder label#18.
The hand dyed ribbon was tied into a bow with a button
. The embossed border was cut with a Spellbinder
floral doily border.

Beautiful card and wonderful sentiment. I agree that we should focus more on honoring our military men and women. :) Great coloring on the flower.

What a beautiful card in honor of Memorial Day, Davi! There are so many fun details here I don't know where to begin. Thank you for the lovely reminder of why we celebrate this day, and thank you to your family for their sacrifice so that we might enjoy our freedom every day.

Davi, this is beautiful and a great way to say 'thank you' on Memorial Day. I love how you painted your daisy red and your bow is yummy. So happy to hear your son-in-law will be returning from deployment this week.
