Hope you all had a great weekend! Our challenge for today is

 Memorial Day. Memorial Day originally called Decoration is 

a day of remembering the men and women who died while 

serving in the United States Military. It was officially proclaimed on

^{May 1868. Many in my family have served. My girls are both}

 ^{married to career military men, one of whom is returning from}

 ^{deployment this week. Our freedom has a great cost to it and}

 ^{I feel this is a important day to ponder that cost! It seems that}

 ^{much of the meaning has been lost and it has become more} 

^{about a  day off work or school.}

^{I'm  passionate about honoring the men}

 ^{and women who serve our country.}

^{Onto my card.... I embossed the piece of white and} 

^{stitched onto the blue then attached to the white. My flower} 

^{is from the Black Eyed Susan for Encouragement Set.}  

 I colored it red and cut out with the Spellbinder label#18.

The sentiment was also cut out the the Spellbinder label#18.

 The hand dyed ribbon was tied into a bow with a button

. The embossed border was cut with a Spellbinder
floral doily border.
