I recycled a cracker box to make a Easter basket using the Color Throwdown colors. I measured to determined the width of strips necessary for weaving and cut all the strips. Next I cut solid pieces for each side and cover inside and out. Then I fastened all the strips together make them long enough to cover all 4 side. I then aged all the edges of the strips and began weaving. The front is covered so the weaving doesnt show but if you look at the side shot you can see it. When it was all done I attached around all the sides. I cut a strip of green, fringed and cliped the edges to make the grass and fastened all around the bottom. I Used the MS punch for the top edge and the handle. I ran a strip of the suede down the center of the handle and attached to the inside. The suede oval was cut with a nestie and then I watercolored my Pixie Cottage Bunny Stamp with watercolors and tore him out and attached to the oval then onto the basket. You can find this stamp at Michelles Scrapbooking & Supplies. If you go to my sidebar you can click on the link to take you directly to her store.
