Our Challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends is to sponge over a die cut negative to create your background. I have used a Spellbinder Label 21 for my background. Using Tim Holtz green lavender and blue inks I sponged them on over the negative shape. Then using The Dogwood Flower image I heat embossed it. A little dyed ribbon and stitching, some sparkles and viola a quick card!
I did a second one with a bit of a twist. I just laid the Spellbinder Label 20 die down sponged the red and green inks then used red to sponge on the outside of the die just leaving the outline. Heat embossed one of the Christmas Cardinal images, matted and stitched it all together! The sentiment was from from the same set.

Two beautiful creations, especially love the colors you used on the first one, but the second one is just as pretty with those perfect Christmas colors!
Your watercoloring backgrounds are lovely. They add a soft subtle touch and it looks great. I especially love the 1st card; that flowerstamp is gorgeous!
This really has a great effect! A neat way to highlight an image in a unique way!
I love the shapes you created behind the images. They are just perfect and I love how they add such a subtle drama to the focal point. TFS! Hugs, kReN
